New Water Project

I took the kids to the library today and we drove by the new Water Park that is being built behind the library at Regional Park. There is now a large building, which I assum is the gym part of the project for changing clothes, showering and having meetings etc. It is designed to match the current structures in the area. I've heard that the waterways and pools have already been constructed and the concrete has been poured, but we couldn't see that from where we were. I'm going to try and sneak some photos if I can.

Neff Park 29th Anniversary

Yesterday, my wife, Connie, and I took our two children, Zachary and Elizabeth, to Neff Park for the 29th anniversary celebration. The shame is on me that I have never taken my family to this park, but it's still sort of hard for me to get over the "What's a Neff?" attitude from the time I went to La Mirada High School. Not really, we just have such nice parks by our house, that I never felt I needed to go over there.

We had a fine time looking everything over. There were lots of booths to visit from the community and various vendors. I was interested in a booth that sold ceramics as that's my passion these days. We had a nice time, except Connie and I both got sick after eating the green chili Mexican dish they were selling. (Wonder if anyone else got sick eating that? Hope not.
